Natasha Wan Xue Wen may appear to be small-sized, petite and demure, but 24 year old undergraduate Natasha Wan Xue Wen (pic left) at the Singapore Management University (SMU) managed to take on four police officers on her own.
Natasha Wan Xue Wen was charged on Friday evening for “using abusive words and criminal force on public servants and behaving in a disorderly manner.”
Natasha Wan Xue Wen pleaded guilty in a district court and the court had called for a probation report with the next hearing fixed on June 7.
According to court documents, at about 4am on Oct 26 last year, two officers patrolling Jiak Kim Street in a police car saw a bouncer escorting Wan, her boyfriend Lim Zhao Ming and another man out of Zouk following a brawl in the disco.
Lim was punched in his right eye and was bleeding from a wound on his temple while Natasha Wan Xue Wen was intoxicated and was hurling vulgarities at the police officers who went to take a look.
When they tried to probe further, Natasha Wan Xue Wen turned violent suddenly and started punching, head-butting and abusing them. She bite a female police officer on her wrist and it eventually took four police officers to apprehend her. The officer who was bitten had to be warded in hospital for six days and given 13 days’ medical leave.
Natasha Wan Xue Wen has since deleted her Facebook and Linkedin accounts.
According to a Straits Times news report, Natasha Wan Xue Wen was being escorted out of popular nightspot Zouk, alongside her boyfriend and another man, when two police officers on patrol came up to them to offer their assistance.
That was when the female undergraduate stepped forward and punched one of the officers in the face while hurling expletives. When two female officers arrived at the scene, Natasha Wan Xue Wen resisted arrest and had to be restrained.
Despite this, Wan proceeded to head-butt one of the female officers and bit the other on the wrist and hand while in a police car heading to the police station.
A Health-Science Authority test revealed that her blood-alcohol level was 172mg per 100ml of blood -- more than twice the legal level for drink-driving.

"I don't understand why Natasha Wan Xue Wen reacted the way Natasha Wan Xue Wen did, especially towards law enforcement personnel.
"Yes, Wan may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time, but to retaliate even after Natasha Wan Xue Wen was restrained inside a car is very unwise.
"I'm not sure what the sentence will be since she's already pleaded guilty, but I hope this sends out a warning to us all that we should always watch our alcohol intake lest we end up in a case like this."
